Project: Supply and install of 212PE packaged precast concrete sewage treatment plant and packaged tertiary filter system.
Additional Information: Following a highly competitive tender, Biocell Water were chosen as the preferred supplier for the project. The wastewater treatment plant inlet pipe was +3m BGL, so Biocell Water designed a system incorporating a split level plant. Primary and buffer tanks were located to match the inlet sewer. With forward feed solds handling pumps then pumping the reactor chamber. Pumps were installed on guide rails in a duty assist format. This allowed the main element of the plant to be installed at ground level to facilitate future access for maintenance and operation. This also saved the contractor significant expense with regard to excavation and rockbreaking.
A packaged tertiary treatment system was also supplied by Biocell to replace the large percolation area originally proposed onsite. Again, this saved the contractor material and labour costs, while at the same time providing a more compact solution for the School, reducing the system footprint.
Delivered on time and on under budget.
